Strong winds (primarily east to south) and a few inches of new snow from Sunday into Monday have increased avalanche danger in Chugach State Park.  Considerable avalanche danger is expected.  Avalanche problems include fresh and actively developing wind slabs, and persistent slabs that are actively being stressed by wind loading.  The snowpack is more dangerous in areas of the park north of Anchorage (i.e. Arctic Valley/Eagle River to Knik).
