Observations

Front Range: Wedge & Ramp

Approach is annoying with too much snow (and too rutted and soft in places) for reasonable fat-biking, but not enough snow for skiing/skinning.  Best means until trail clears more is via sneakers.

Corn ripening on solar aspects below 4000′ by mid to late afternoon on the windier, and thus colder, days recently.

North aspects icy at all elevations with only a dusting of wind blown, wintry snow in isolated patches.

That said, observed avalanche danger was low with excellent stability.

Beware of “slide for life” conditions.  Consider safety tools such as crampons, and an axe for self-arrest.
